How we fund

Cellar Trust
UK Grant Giving

Our approach to grant making

We take a proactive and partnership driven approach to grant-making. We seek out organisations that align with our priorities and demonstrate potential for real and lasting impact.

What we look for

We support charities that can deliver measurable results and grow sustainably. In particular, we look for:

  • Strong leadership and governance – experienced teams who can steer growth and manage risk.
  • Evidence of impact – proven outcomes, with both quantitative and qualitative results.
  • Ambition and ability to scale – organisations ready to expand their reach and influence.
  • Courage to innovate – charities willing to pilot bold ideas and test new approaches.
  • Sound financial footing.

Working with partners

We rarely fund alone. Where possible, we look for opportunities to co-fund alongside partners such as Prudence Trust, Garfield Weston Foundation, Henry Smith Foundation, Impetus and others.
