Education through boxing
The Boxing Academy provides high-quality alternative education for young people who are at risk of exclusion from mainstream schools. Its unique model pairs strong academic teaching with the discipline and ethos of boxing, giving pupils the structure and support they need to thrive.
Why it matters
School exclusion is one of the strongest predictors of poor life outcomes, including unemployment and involvement in crime. By re-engaging excluded pupils in education, the Boxing Academy helps young people change their trajectory.
Our role
We have supported the Boxing Academy with multi-year unrestricted funding to strengthen its leadership and help scale its proven model. Today, it is nationally recognised as a successful alternative provision, with ambitions to replicate its approach more widely.
